Look: A Little Bit of Lovecraft

I purchased OCC Lovecraft Lip Tar about two weeks ago and the day it arrived I just had to use it straight away. This look was inspired by sleepless nights, creeping horrors, and tuberculosis.

Full product list after the jump!
Because I was going to be doing a really sickly eye, I wanted to make sure that my skin looked as flawless as possible. I think that's the most important step for this kind of eye makeup. I'm really pale already, so I used my normal foundation with a bit more of a white setting powder.  I also made sure to conceal much more than I normally would and tried to even out any areas of my face that tend towards sallowness, like the corners of my mouth and along my nasolabial folds. I considered using a really bright red blush to create an even more feverish look, but I decided against it as I was going to the shops that day and I didn't want to concern anyone.

And that's my Lovecraft inspired consumption look. The Lovecraft Lip Tar is actually quite a bit pinker than I thought it was going would be. I was expecting a pale purple and I don't usually wear bright pink lippy. I actually like it, especially with the addition of a darker lipstick smudged in a the corners. One other small issue with it is that it is the grittiest lipstick ever, and I have three other OCC metallics. It's not a problem as long as I remember not to rub my lips together, but I thought I should mention it.

I really love the Dreamworld Hermetica shadows because they have the most beautiful depth to them. I will be doing a full swatch and review with a ton of Dreamworld shadows in the next week, so please stay tuned for that!
