Sugarpill LE Edward Scissorhands Palette: Look and Swatches

Sugarpill LE Edward Scissorhands palette

Oh my goddess, you guys, Sugarpill made neutrals! I didn't know that was a thing that I wanted, but holy crap is it ever. I bought this palette on Love-makeup.com for £25.99 plus shipping. This is limited edition, but I think both Cocktail Cosmetics and Love Makeup still have a few (I am not affiliated with either of these websites). I ordered this as soon as it went live on the site and it arrived this afternoon. If you'd like to see swatches of the full palette, as well as a mini review and look, please follow me through the jump.

As you can see, the artwork on this palette is absolutely gorgeous. I'm not usually someone who would buy something just because of pretty packaging, but I would make an exception for this. I have loved Edward Scissorhands since I was small and this artwork is just magical. The eye shadow doesn't disappoint, either.

Drool...
Sugarpill LE Edward Scissorhands palette

As I've come to expect from a Sugarpill palette. this has a wide mirror and lovely, sturdy packaging. The colour is sort of robin's egg blue with swirls and silver starburst things all over. This palette has six shades, three of which are matte. The rest are satin finish with just a hint of sparkle.

First off is Home Sweet Home, a matte baby blue. This is buttery smooth and very pigmented. I didn't think I would like such a light blue on myself, but this is lovely. Next is Ice Angel, a shimmery super light blue verging on white that has a hint of purple duochrome. Once again, buttery soft and superbly blendable. This is Diamond Eyes if Diamond Eyes was made by angels. Next up is The Inventor, a slightly shimmery slate grey. This is on the blue rather than brown side of the spectrum. Again, the formula is excellent.

Suburbia is next with a giant pop of the perfect coral. This is completely matte. Very creamy and I found it really easy to blend. Also, if you blend this with Home Sweet Home, you get the most lovely soft purple. Heart-Shaped Cookie is a matte camel colour. Let me repeat, this is a matte camel colour. Sugarpill just released my holy grail blending out colour. I can die now. With this palette in my collection, it is now completely possible for me to do all my eye-makeup, highlight, and contour with just Sugarpill. MY LIFE IS COMPLETE. The last shade, Castle on the Hill, is the only one I didn't use in today's look, but it is a very nice chocolate brown with shimmer. I don't know if I'm just imagining this, but it seems to have hints of purple in it. I will update once I've used it for real and not just swatches.

So the look!

Over my standard UDPP and Nyx Milk pencil, I used Heart-Shaped Cookie all over the lid. I put a good layer of Suburbia on the brow bone and then used Home Sweet Home on the outer two-thirds of my lid, blending it up into Suburbia.

I used The Inventor to deepen the outer v, as well as under the eyes. I also used Home Sweet Home under the eyes and blew it out quite a bit. This ended up making me look really bright-eyed and awake. I'm a fan. I used Ice Angel on the inner corners. I tight-lined with Urban Decay Smoke and I put that in my waterline, as well. Then I smudged The Inventor over that and used it on a wet angle brush to make a small wing.

I used Suburbia as blush and was really surprised at how much I like it for that. The nice thing about this palette is that each pan is big enough to fit pretty much any brush, as each shade is .08 ounces for a full 2.5 grams of shadow for the palette. I used Ice Angel on the high points of my cheek bones, the tip of my nose, and my cupid's bow for a highlight.

My lipstick is OCC Strumpet, with Sebastian in the inner two-thirds, and Pagan in very inner part.

As you know if you've been reading my blog for a while, I am a huge Sugarpill fan. This palette has just deepened my love for the brand. I think I could probably take the Sparkle Baby palette and this one with me on holiday and be completely set for eye makeup, highlight, and blush.

Did you manage to snag this palette? What do you think?
